For quite some time, I had one place on my list that I simply had to visit eventually — Classic Remise in Berlin.
I’d seen countless photos of the cars stored there behind glass, people posting some ridiculous Ferrari, Porsche or old Mercedes from inside, and every time I thought: “Right, I’m going there one day.”
Well, I finally got off my ass.
Saturday morning, my friend and I jumped in the car and headed to Berlin. Expectations? As always, ridiculously high.
I knew what to expect — cars stored behind glass, private collections, dealers, workshops, the whole atmosphere. And that’s exactly what makes Classic Remise different from a normal museum. You’re not just walking around rows of cars that have been placed there as exhibits. These are cars that are actually being stored, sold, worked on and moved around the building.
Which is exactly what I like.
So, the verdict?
8/10.
And I can already hear some of you saying: “What the fuck are you talking about? 8/10?”
Yeah… I’m starting to wonder about that myself. 😂
Because let’s be clear — the place is fucking awesome. The building, the atmosphere, the whole concept… it all works. And seeing cars like this just sitting there behind glass, sometimes literally a few metres away from you, is something you don’t get everywhere.
But…
I’m a guy from Poland, where, when it comes to places like this, there has historically been very fucking little. So over the years, whenever I’ve had the chance, I’ve tried to make up for it. I’ve travelled, spotted cars, visited collections and seen quite a lot of exotic machinery.
Which means it’s getting harder to impress me simply by putting an expensive or rare car in front of me.
Maybe I was just expecting an even bigger fucking shitshow of insane cars.
Maybe there should have been more exotics.
Or maybe…
I’m just being a dick.
Because look at the first car that caught my attention.
A Mercedes E500.
A car that, personally, is absolutely iconic to me.
And sitting nearby?
An Aventador.
An SF90.
A fucking Ford GT.
So at some point you start wondering whether you really have any right to give this place an 8.
We were also there on a Saturday, so quite a few things were closed, meaning we definitely didn’t see everything that Classic Remise has to offer on a normal day.
So for now, here’s the first batch of photos — exactly in the order I took them.
And that 8/10 rating?
I’m starting to think I’m being a little bit too fucking picky. 😂
Because if you can walk into one building and within a few minutes see an E500, an Aventador, an SF90 and a Ford GT…
…maybe the problem isn’t Classic Remise.
Maybe I’ve just seen too many fucking cars.
