Ferrari 456GT - why so cheap now?

Ferrari 456 GT. As with any Ferrari, you might expect the value to hold — but in this case, it hasn’t, at least not yet.

Current prices are surprisingly low, especially when compared to models like the Ferrari F355, which has seen a strong rebound over the past two to three years and is quickly becoming out of reach. Today, a Ferrari 456 can still be bought for around €60,000.

Is it an investment? Yes — but a long-term one. Over a five-year horizon, values around €120,000 are entirely realistic.

Why? Because the 456 is not a typical Ferrari. It’s more of a grand tourer than a pure sports car. What truly matters, however, is that it’s powered by a naturally aspirated V12 — and Ferrari is clearly moving away from that formula.

The most desirable examples are manual cars, ideally finished in dark blue, which perfectly suits the elegant, understated character of the model.
